Game design

Getting going with Godot or Unity, and turning an idea into a playable prototype. I learnt Godot in a week for my first game jam and placed #41 for enjoyment out of 2,248 entries, so I know what those first steps feel like.

Tech is my language, and translating it into plain English is the part I enjoy most.
Over the years friends, family and friends of friends have come to me with all sorts: printers that won't print, backups, Wi-Fi, Excel, and more recently how to use AI or how to start building a game. What Would Llew Do brings that together in one place, so anyone who is stuck has someone to ask.
I've spent more than 10 years in tech, from technical support and keeping businesses secure to five years at VMware Carbon Black, helping large companies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa protect their computers. From 2023 I founded Nova Mentis and built Nova Nexus, an AI platform that helps people turn big goals into clear next steps, and ran one-on-one workshops with its early users. Now I make games as LocalHugDealer Studios.
Along the way I've spent years coaching and mentoring, and nothing beats watching someone succeed because of a conversation we had.
